Qalin News. Mogadishu - Reports from Bulomarer village of Somalia claimed that a small plane without pilot had fallen and crashed outside the village, witnesses confirmed.

Alshabab claimed in its twitter account that it found the wreckage of a Drone plane, which crashed between Gobweyn and Bulamarer villages in Lowershabelle region of Somalia.

"A #US Drone has just crashed near one of the towns under the administration of the Mujahideen in the Lower Shabelle region" The tweet reads.

"The Mujahideen intelligence teams have gathered the wreckage of the drone and transferred it to a safe location" The tweet added.

Neither US nor Somalia government commented on Alshabab's claims of the Drone crash and there is no independent source confirming it.

Nur Osbole, a resident of Jebey village near the crash place told Qalin News that they head the crash of the plane, but couldn't go the place to see it.

"We heard the explosion on the road between Marka and Bulomarer, but Alshabab condoned the place and wouldn't allow anyone to see it" Osbole said.

"The thing looked like a big missile, but Alshabab is saying it was small plane with cameras and missiles" He added.

Alshabab sources claimed that the Drone carried missiles and might try to attack targets in Bulomarer town.

Bulomarer town, 110kms in the south of Mogadishu, is the biggest Alshabab stronghold in the region after Barawe district.

French special forces launched a failed commando attacked on the town several months ago in a bid to release a late French spy, but had lost the lives of two soldiers, while Alshabab executed the spy later.
