Adado, QN - Sources in Adado confirmed that Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys agreed with Somalia government officials to fly to Mogadishu and meet with government officials before he proceeds to unidentified Arab country for talks.
Sheikh Aweys, a top Alshabab leader, surrendered to the Himan and Heeb president Abdullahi Baarleeh Tuesday night and was escorted to Adado provincial town.

Both Sheikh Aweys and the Himan and Heeb administration refused to confirm Aweys' trip to Mogadishu, which seems to be high profile interms of the set meetings with the government officials including members of the cabinet.

The spokesman of the President Abdirahman Omar Osman (Yarisow), who gave interview to BBC Somali Service confirmed that the government closely monitors Aweys' movement and everything would be through peaceful negotiations.

It is yet unclear where Aweys is heading, but reports from Barawe earlier Thursaday confirmed that Alshabab executed senior Alshabab leaders including Ibrahim Al Afghani and a senior member called Sheikh Burhan.
