    Bomb plast in Baidoa injured seven including two AMISOM soldiers

    Mogadishu, QN - At least seven people were wounded after suspected Alshabab self attacker Saturday launched a hand-grenade attack on African Union peacekeeping forces passing in the center of Baidoa town, witnesses confirmed.

Mogadishu, QN - At least seven people were wounded after suspected Alshabab self attacker Saturday launched a hand-grenade attack on African Union peacekeeping forces passing in the center of Baidoa town, witnesses confirmed.
Witnesses in Afar-Irdoodka junction of Baidoa told Qalin News Online that four civilians, two AMISOM peacekeepers and an Ethiopian soldiers were wounded after the attacker hurled the bomb at the forces patroling in the town.

"The AMISOM forces with some Ethiopian soldiers were patroling in Baidoa to tighten the security, someone hurled a bomb, he wounded seven people including 4 civilians, 2 AMISOM peacekeepers and 1 Ethiopian soldiers and escaped" said Ahmed Nuur, an eyewitess on the ground.


"The attacker escaped, the forces tried to surround the area, but they didn't capture him" he added.

The Baidoa general hospital confirmed that three people were submitted to the hospital and at least one of them is very serious. AMISOM and Ethiopian forces submitted their wounded soldiers to their field hospitals in Baidoa airport.

Alshabab militants launch such attacks on AMISOM and Somali government forces since February last year when the joint forces withdrown them from the town.
