Adado, QN - A flight carrying Hassan Dahir Aweys, the militant kingpin, who was arrested four days ago in central Somalia departed from Adado moments after the sunset and heads to Mogadishu.
Aweys, who was in Adado for the last four days, refused to come to Mogadishu and to surrender himself to the Somalia government but was finally convinced to do it before the administration decides to arrest him and hand him over the Somalia government.
Journalists and security officials as well as the government officials are waiting the delegation carrying Aweys, who will face terrorism charges and war crimes in Mogadishu.
Aweys fled from Barawe town 20th of June after a team opposing the leader of Godane was attacked by Amniyat forces of Alshabab, who killed members of the leaders and arrested others.
