Mogadishu, QN - Alshabab military spokesman Abdulasis Abu Musab confirmed the killing of two senior Alshabab leaders Ibrahim Haji Jama aka Afghaani, who was known in Alshabab Sheikh Abu Bakr Zaylai and Abdulhamid Hashi Olhaye known in Alshabab Moalim Burhan.
Afghani served as the second leader of Alshabab, the finance secretary and the governor of Kismayo in 2009 and he was the first Somali Jihadist who opened a training camp in Somalia and Moalim Burhan was one of the top leaders serving for the office of Da'awa, a branch working on spreading the ideology and making fatwas and he was a member of the Shura council (the executive committee).
Abu Musab said in his voice message released by Alshabab media, "There come out some of Mujahideen individuals who stood up to disintegrate the Mujahideen, who are against the unity of the mujahideen, they were noticed, they were adviced and they were told that the unity of the Muslims is ALLAH's order" "After that Alshabab made a decision against those individuals, and the decision was to arrest them and bring them befire the Sharia"
Abu Musab also confirmed that "When the Alshabab fighters got the order to arrest the individuals they started implementing the orders, but the individuals divided into three groups, the first group fired at the Mujahideen when they were ordered to surrender, they killed one of fighters and escaped" This is the American Jihadist, Abu Mansur Al Amriki's group.
Abu Musab also stated that Al Afghaani and Moalim Burhan were killed in Barawe when they rejected the Shabab forces to arrest them and fought back and they were killed as the fighting was going on.
Alshabab's confirmation of the killing of Ibrahim Al Afghaani and Burhan, comes as Hassan Dahir Aweys, a top Alshabab leader who escaped from the attack that killed Afghaani and Burhan and was captured by pro-government forces.
Aweys was submitted to Mogadishu Saturday evening and was handed over the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
This is the first time Alshabab confirmed the killing of two of its most senior members, Al Afghaani who was a follower of Osama Bin Laden and Burhan, who was a fatwa maker for the group and army trainer as well.
Mukhtar Robow Ali aka Abu Mansuur, American Jihadist Omar Hammami aka Abu Mansuur Al Amriki and other Alshahab and Al Qaeda officials are in run to escaoe from the decition of Ahmed Abdi Godane who ordered his Amniyat intelligence team to kill them.
