    Somalia: Prime Minister Shirdon offers amnesty to Alshabab fighters

    Mogadishu, QN - The Somalia Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon offered amnesty to all young men fighting for Alshabab militant group if they denounce the violence and disengage the fighting.

Mogadishu, QN - The Somalia Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon offered amnesty to all young men fighting for Alshabab militant group if they denounce the violence and disengage the fighting.
The PM made the offer on the occation of the holy month of Ramadan and wished all the Somali people to get a happy and peaceful Ramadan.

"The Ramadan is an important month for all Muslims, it is the month of the revelation of the Quran, it is the month of amnesty and forgiveness, it is the month of charity and it is the month of brotherhood" The PM said.

The prime minister call those who are wealthy to help the poor and give the poorest families the chance to fast with integrity.


On the ocasion, the Prime Minister called all Alshabab fighters to stop fighting and join their government and offered amnesty for young Somali fighters who he said "We brainwashed" and misled.

"I call on all the young men who are involved in the bloodshed of the innocent people, who are destroying their lives, to compromise from those awful acts, which is a danger against the nation. We promise to give them amnesty and create opportunities for them if they denounce what they are involved in" The PM insisted.

Finally, the PM wished all Muslims in the world to have a peaceful Ramadan.
