Mogadishu, QN - Sources in Bulomarer town of Lower-Shabelle region of Somalia confirmed that Alshabab's top leader Sheikh Mukhtar Abu Zubeyr assigned a commander to lead an offensive against the supporters of Sheikh Mukhtar Robow Ali aka Abu Mansur, who was the second in rank before splitting the Amir.
The source with condition of anonymity for security reason said, "Abu Zubeyr made visits to Bulo-Fulay, Qoryolay and other parts of Bay and Lower Shabelle regions before he reached Bulomarer and he had a meeting with his deputy and the head of Amniyaat-intelligence- Sheikh Mahad Warsame aka Mahad Karate and others"

"After discussion they assigned a commander Kabojecel to lead an offensive against Abu Mansur's supporters in Abal and Dolondole areas" he added.


Abu Zubeyr, whose real name is Sheikh Ahmed Abdi Godane, also reshuffled the commanders of the Alshabab's Habarre base 28kms Northeast of Baidoa to boost the attacks against the town, which is the AMISOM sector 3 head quaters and controled by the Somalia government.

The highly guarded meeting between Alshabab's top leader, Abu Zubeyr, his Amniyaat leader and the assigned commanders took hours in Bulomarer later Saturday before the commanders departed to Bakol and Habarre to fulfill the planned offesives.

Hours after the high level meeting, Godane's supporters fought against Abu Masur's supporters in Dolondoole village 80kms east of Baidoa, and killed at least one fighter and wounded before Godane supporters were ousted and headed to Tiyeglow district of Bakol region.

The new Alshabab infighting started as the top leader released his first messages since the Barawe fighting that Killed two senior Alqaeda members, Ibrahim Afghan and Moalim Burhan, who were executed by the Amniyaat aftre they confronted the orders of Godane.

Godane's vioce message directed to the Alshabab fighters in the front line tries to justify why he decided to fight against some of the leaders of the militant group and their supporters who disobeyed his orders, and urges the fighters to obey the orders of their leader.
