MOGADISHU, 07 Dec. 2014, (Qalin) - The Somalia Attorney General Ahmed Ali Dahir has Sunday imposed travel ban on all cabinet members of the newly sacked Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed until they fully transfer power to the coming cabinet members.

The AG's travel banned became shock to the cabinet members including the Finance Minister Dr. Hussein Abdi Halane, who posted in his Facebook the copy of the letter with a comment degrading the move.

Minister Halane said in his official Facebook account, "It is a very new matter to me and I didn't understand it". Many cabinet members shared the same disappointment with the minister of finance and they have called the President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in order to share their complaint with him.

The letter, which is highly politicized targets all the ministers, deputy ministers and the state ministers who were members of the government of Dr. Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed, whose government was officially sacked by the parliament yesterday, but critics call point finger at the president's camp, which wants to sanction the pro PM cabinet members who want leave the country because of the desperation.

The AG's controversial letter directs all the cabinet members to transfer power of their offices with the presence of the Attorney General and the Auditor General in order to make sure that they fully transferred the assets of the ministry.

This is the first time the justice department interferes the political affairs of the Somalia, a time the PM lost his post because of a brief reshuffle he made in the cabinet in October, which affected the powerful justice minister Farah Sheikh Abdulkader, who is the president's right hand man.

The letter orders any cabinet minister that wants to travel for official government business to get a permission letter from the president, which facilitates the minister's access to the airport.

The letters orders the Police commissioner and the chief of the national intelligence to implement the orders written in the letter.
